WHATS DOING
AN ACCESSIBILITY PLATFORM FOR INCLUSIVE CITY LIVING
No-Cost Project Description
Whats Doing is an AI-powered accessibility and wellbeing platform that helps cities identify, promote, and improve access to inclusive venues, services, and community experiences. By aggregating accessibility data across thousands of local businesses and public spaces, Whats Doing enables cities to better understand where barriers exist, increase participation among people with disabilities, and strengthen local economic engagement through more inclusive urban environments.
The no-cost, low-risk project includes platform customization, large-scale accessibility data collection, community activation, and impact reporting. Communities can expect:
-
Access to a fully operational accessibility discovery platform featuring 15,000–20,000 local businesses and places of interest.
-
AI-powered data collection and analysis of accessibility features across venues, services, and public spaces.
-
A custom city dashboard with anonymized behavioral insights and community feedback.
-
Increased visibility and foot traffic for accessible small and medium-sized businesses.
-
Improved resident wellbeing through greater inclusion and participation in local activities.
The engagement includes a four-week public launch and onboarding period, followed by six months of ongoing data collection and analysis. Whats Doing provides full onboarding, technical integration, training, and community engagement support throughout the project period. Communities are expected to nominate a primary point of contact, support local outreach where possible, and optionally share public datasets to enhance data accuracy. The project concludes with a final report summarizing insights, engagement trends, and recommendations, with options to extend or scale the platform based on outcomes and community needs.
